About Me
I work as a SQL Server/Business Intelligence Developer in Chandler Arizona. I have a Master’s degree in Computer Science as well as a Bachelors in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
My database journey started in 2010 when I worked as an database intern for an oil and gas company. Since graduating college, I have had the opportunity to work on different databases and data warehouses in a variety of fields ranging from oil servicing, mining and healthcare.
Asides working as a SQL Server/Business Intelligence Developer, I also teach SQL Server at Eklipse Consult, where I introduce students to beginner and some advanced concepts in SQL Server. These opportunities have helped build up my understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft’s Business Intelligence tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). I have been able to successfully utilize these tools for large databases and data warehouses. I have even found myself working as an accidental DBA.
With my background in Engineering, I enjoy writing and teaching LabVIEW programs as well as integrating LabVIEW with National Instruments Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ). I have recently started working on the Microsoft Azure platform, Databricks, Apache Spark, Python for ETL, and other data engineering tools. I hope to be able to write about this soonest.
This blog is for the purpose of sharing the knowledge I have gathered over the years, as well as share my daily experience on the job. I am hoping I will be able to inspire and help someone out there with their questions. Nothing will give me greater joy.
Thanks for visiting my blog where there’s a lot of sharing, learning and relearning!
